To act as a knowledge hub and resource agency in the domain of child protection and child rights. To interact and facilitate interaction with various organs; Government and other agencies on issues relating to child protection & provide consulting support and functional assistance.
It affects their physical, emotional and mental well-being. The plight of children has worsened over the years. Incidents like child abuse, harassment, drugs, mobile addiction and suicides are on the rise. Sourakshika envisioned Balagokulam as a child care venue to address these issues.
Since its registration in 2001, Saurakshika strives to protect and promote the rights of every child in the state to create an environment where every child can grow, live, thrive and have freedom in a safe and capable environment.
Sourakshika does everything possible to achieve the goal of ensuring that the rights of every child are respected and protected. Led by a team of professionals with values deeply embedded in nationalism and Indian culture, Sourakshika works to safeguard the welfare of children and protect them from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation. It seeks to ensure that all children have access to basic needs such as food, shelter, health and education and are protected from physical, sexual and emotional abuse.
